In the radio collecting hobby, catalin radios are highly sought after because of their striking colors and art deco designs. This Fada Temple radio from the late 1940’s has a beautiful burgundy body with yellow dial trim and knobs. The cabinet is all original with no repairs, chips or cracks. The cabinet has been polished to a nice sheen using a multi step process which includes, polishing and glazing compounds as well as final polishing compound. The dial face is original and the radio maintains it’s original back.
The electronics have been completely restored to factory specs including all new capacitors, resistors where needed and new tubes where needed. This radio plays loud and clear with no hum or distortion. An iPod jack has been added to allow you to stream music through this radio from any device.
